Six months ago, a friend of mine was moving house.

She couldn’t bring this Pachira plant with her as it was too tall, so she asked me to take care of it.

Of course, I said yes.

At that time, I didn’t think very much about it. I simply brought the plant home and found a place for it in my garden.

Today, I happened to look at an old photograph I had taken when I first received it. I couldn’t believe the difference.

Six months later, look at it now.

It has grown so much that I almost forgot how it looked when it first came to me. It made me think about how plants are a little like us. Sometimes, all they need is a new place, some care, a little patience—and time. Six months ago, I could not have imagined it looking like this today. Perhaps plants are a good reminder that not everything happens quickly. Some things simply need time.
